Introducing the com.pad Retrokit System™ door set.
Controlling access inside a building improves security as well as safety, as entry into potentially dangerous areas is restricted. Installing access control systems can be costly as installation of new doors and equipment is required. The com.pad Retrokit System™ is a unique take on biometric access control, in that the access control pad can be retro-fitted to existing doors. The com.pad simply converts a convential mechanical lock into a biometrically-operated access control system.
Using a fingerprint as the biometric recognition measurement, users are enrolled quickly and easily. An identification algorithm is applied to the fingerprint image and stored as a template, which can be used in time and attendance management.
Unlike keys, cards or pin numbers which can be lost, stolen or misused, the com.pad simplifies accessibility, giving greater control over movement within a building.
Com.pad is a battery operated, standalone unit suitable for up to 500 users. Each unit is programmed using a hand-held unit.
